Hi, I'm new to all of this and want to upload some of my own textures. I just need some basic info like file type and size. I remember seeing it somewhere but can't find it now.

You can upload in .TGA (Targa) or .BMP (Bitmap) and to upload just select it form the file menu in game. It is $10 (game $) per upload.. Just to warn ya! Welcome and Good Luck!

Thanks for the info. Is there an image size that works best or will any size image do?

Just generally depends on the size of the object you are putting it on, how clear you want it, how much detail you want......

Ok that's enough to get me going. I'll have to play around with it later in game and see what I can come up with. thanks again.

A note given to me by a Liason Linden said that it is good to make textures in squares that are powers of 2. eg 16x16, 32x23, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256 or 512x512.
I am not sure if this is because powers of two work nicely with whatever the server uses to compress/decompress textures or because it makes for faster rendering.
