I was on...but I can't get in now

I was on until about ten minutes ago. I had been on for an hour and a half or so, having downloaded an optional patch. I teleported home to see a friend, and all my attachments disappeared, hair, bangs, shoes and game controller - and they weren't highlighted in the inventory to show they were being worn either.

I couldn't attach them, but wasn't getting an error message to say that they weren't attaching.

When I teleported to another sim, I found that my missing attachments appeared, plus a few things I hadn't been wearing, and my hair and body shape and face had changed - were not my normal AV.

I decided to relog to see if that cured the problem, and now can't get in to find out if I am stuck in the foreing body.

After about an hour of trying, I've succeeded in logging back in, but when I went to tp to my home - nothing. Tried again and I'm out in the sky somewhere. Bugs *shudders*

Yes i got on, but got stuck in the sky. Its a scary thought that the new patch could have a bug, but then its a scary thought thats im becoming addicted to this game!!

it keeps hanging at "waiting for response"...then back to the opening screen.
and it is a scary thing that i, too am addicted to this game

Well at least this confirms it isn't the patch (directly) that's causing the login problems. But it seems the only times I ever have login troubles is when I've just downloaded a patch... so my first thought is, "Oh, snit. The patched borked it."

Having been a computer user for nearly the last 30 years, I'm kind of trained to suspect upgrade issues.
