Let me say soccer a few more times so I don't have to ever say it again:
soccer, soccer, soccer, soccer, soccer, soccer.
Ahh, that feels better.

Is american football that dreadful cissy game where they have to be so covered in protective padding that you can hardly see them ? Although the amount of physical contact is no less than Rugby, where almost all of them weat none ?

Although the amount of physical contact and violence is no more than in Rugby, where almost all players wear no protection other than thin little shin pads tucked into their socks?
I regard the difference as a sort of metaphor for the two cultures.
Oops, help, now I've done it.
Cue for suicide, I think.......................
Hold on, I thought their favourite game was rounders, like our girlies play ...............

I got to see a few of the UEFA Championship games a few weeks back while in Dublin. Nothing like watching football in a pub surrounded by rabid fans from many nations Liverpool winning it all caught me by surprise! I can't wait for next Summer! See you in Germany! Tito
