A new sim named Cordova has appeared south of the Vehicle Park. This is the new sandbox sim that offers tax-free building and gets all objects wiped each night. After tonight, Olive, the old sandbox sim, will go offline for repurposing.

'repurposing'? hmm... maybe reborn into an M-rated sim?

Hmm, remeber that time in Cardova where Charlie and Christopher lagged out the sim....
No, that doesn't have the same ring as them lagging out Olive did.

I expect that tommorow afternoon, a whole slew of new sims will be added to the north, and Olive will be re-terraformed and turned into a public sim, for sale.

Gosh! I'm moderately outraged! I chose my place to live specifically because it was like three meters from Olive, and also because there was a nice mountain ring around it. Now the new sandbox will be just about as far away from my lab as you can get. And there's also a good chance that whoever buys the new sim next to me, will also destroy the mountain range. It was really hard moving my lab into those mountains, and Lordfly Digeridoo has done hard work to put a good cover on top. Whatever am I to do now? I can only hope that Olive has a new purpose other than a public sim. It would be delightful if it was turned into an event sim that was stuck in place, without people destroying my prescious mountain range.

The one thing we players just can not expect is for this game, or anything in it, to remain constant. But I feel sorry for whoever builds a home in the "re-purposed" Olive... The ghosts of dead prims will haunt that place for years. Christopher alone gave life (physics) to so many cubes and torii there then abused them in horrific ways. Their primitive little 3D souls will flit from build to build and cause mischief for all eternity. Build in Olive at your own risk!

Relee, I'm with ya there. I was pretty annoyed to discover that Olive won't be the sandbox anymore. I build my hover pod store on the hill next to Olive so that I'd be within a stone's throw of a whole lot of vehicle construction. But I guess I'll have to close my shop now. Keep your eyes peeled on the even board. I may throw a "Mega Closing Out Sale!!!" where "Everything Must Go!! Now!!!".

maybe with so many new sims and new subscribers, we can convince them that they need 2 sandboxes instead of just 1?
That way if Charlie and Christopher (or anyone else) crash one sandbox, there would be a chance the other one is up and happy.

Many wanted Olive to be moved to a remote location, Lindens are just meeting our wants (again). I personally hate to see it moved, but support the decision. I originally moved to Teal to be near Olive. Too bad Olives' name didnt follow it to the new location

Don't forget that the new resident building areas are available too and hardly used. From: someone Originally posted by Camille Serpentine maybe with so many new sims and new subscribers, we can convince them that they need 2 sandboxes instead of just 1?

Olive always has a lot of experimental builds, it is noisy and messy with things flying all over into the nearby neighborhoods. Its a lot of fun for those actually causing the mayhem, but a drag for those nearby. Its new remote location will not cause problems for those trying to enjoy a quiet evening at home in Slate, Teal, Rose, or Mocha.

I don't think that I want to live next to a shopping center. :/
