So... eh... how about an event celebration of the Libran month starting on the 23? Would anyone be interested in that?

I love Librans, I'm a Gemini, a fellow air sign. We're also coming up on the autumnal equinox on the 23rd. How would you propose celebrating?

You know what? I'm not too sure how to celebrate. I was thinking of doing a zodiac-basec party once a month just because it'd be kinda neat. I'm not extra into horoscopes or anything like that... but a lot of people know what the Zodiac signs are and identify with them. So yeah.

Gemini, Libra--Aquarius is the other air sign, right? ...

Hm. Maybe having a Libra Contest where people bring in objects/AVs that have to do with Libra (could pull this off in a Mentor event, even) and follow it up with a Libra Chat or something. All could come of course, but it would commemorate Libras.

Yup, Aquarius is the third air sign, and a goofy bunch we all are.

It's an interesting idea, Dae, but it would be difficult to get many takers on an event that specific, I think. For instance, can you name off the top of your head the item that is commonly used to symbolize the sign of Libra, and which planet rules Libra?

urgh night shift on a Friday, don't envy you one bit!

*feeling delicate coz I just woke up with a bit of a hang-over from my Friday night*

Haha... booo to hangovers. Just one of the many reasons why I don't drink. Not my drug of choice.

But I do deal with lots of drunken peoples at this job. So yeah. Um. Actually. I don't know where that came from. But I do!

Drink lots of water and take some tylenol. But not aspirin. And eh. Just make yourself sleep already. Being awake wiht a hangover is the worst.

Heh, at least you went out and had fun, Cailyn... seems I never get to do that anymore. *sigh*

I'm fairly certain Venus rules Libra (because we're psychotic romantics) but that IS a guess. And an object that symbolizes the Libra is the scales. Okay. So it's sort of hard. But eh. C'mon. There must be some value in a zodiac party; there must be some way to hold it...

You're right on both counts, Dae, Venus and the scales. I should have zodiac trivia one of these nights, it's one of my pet subjects.

I could schedule the trivia and you could follow it with a "make an avatar representing your sign" event, maybe. I'd love to see some Pisces come as a giant fish avatar. It would be difficult, however, to represent my sign as an avatar, since Gemini is the sign of the Twins...

Hahaha! Yeah, that would be tough... but you could also play on the "two-face" concept of the Gemini and maybe make a second head fit on your shoulder or another face attached to the back of your head... something silly.

Okay, then. I certainly can't set it up right this second because of the computer I'm on, but a trivia followed by a Zodiac AV representation thang would be great. And maybe we could hold something like this on the first day of each zodiac change? If this is held in Dore, one might be able to put a cylinder platform on top of the stage that has simply the Libra sign on it.

Any other thoughts..?

If we want to do back to back themed events, Dae, next week looks bad for the prime evening hours. Next weekend might work, though...

Maybe we could meet up in-game tomorrow and grab a spot then that would work for both events?

And congrats on 100 posts, Cailyn. And yes, Pisces is usually two fish, but I think one would be enough of a recognizable representation for an avatar.

6 am and all's well here on the Right side of the U.S.A...

Well, more or less. Night shift isn't so bad really, you don't have to deal with traffic for the most part, there are usually less idiots on the roads and at the office (assuming you work in an office...) and best of all, no one monitoring my internet access over my shoulder.

And before someone says it, I know there's no monitors or keyloggers on my system because I'm the admin here... mwuahahaha!
