Stargazing?

I was wondering if all the star positions maintained a constant position. I was think of establishing a set point (like the new Newb zone, since its center crosses two sims), or whatever is 0,0 ingame, then taking pics of views in all 4 directions. Then i was going to connect as many dots as i could somewhat logically connect, name them, and make vignettes about them. Not sure if this has any practical value, but i heard someone mention wanting a space station (think it was Xavier, my apologies if its not, i get alot of names confused, hehe, also, as usual, watch what you say around me, it inspires the most random things possible, lol).
