Okay, I think I remember hearing that as the SL population grew, so did the pool from which the stipend money was taken from. Right?

So if, say, 1000 people joined SL, but absolutely none of them were rated (neither neg nor pos). Does this mean every other person in the game thusly has a higher stipend, because the pool is larger, but no new ratings were given...
Or does the stipend not change, and there's just extra money hanging around in the pool?

First off, the base stipend (L$1000) is invariant. If you get less than that, it's because you're too rich and don't pay enough taxes.

The bonus stipend (based on ratings) is drawn from a fixed pool that increases when we add land, which we generally do in response to a rising resident population. So if 1000 people joined but weren't rated, nothing would change. If 1000 people joined and were rated, they would get bonus stipends but everyone else's would drop to pay for it.

Now, if 1000 people entered, AND we added more regions to hold them, then yes, everyone's bonus stipends would increase.

could you please add a new mature area. the ones that are available are so full you can only buy tiny lots. in contrast the pg areas have huge lots for sale. it seems to me that alot of people would prefere mature to pg but there arent many available.
