not sure if this is the rite forum for this but here goes

a few of my friends and i are thinking about starting a base jumping group. we engoy skydiving alot and just cant get enough. if any of u kind folk happen to know of any tall buildings, antennas, bridges, or mountians/cliffs that could be jumped from, meaning 100m above ground and up. the info would be gladly appreicated! if you are intrasted and would like to join please send me an im Xolice Zaftig

for those of you who dont know what base jumping is, instead of jumping out of a plane u jump off B.A.S.E.

One idea is to build a tall tower in a sandbox and then hop from there, see how many regions you can cross over in the process.

I tore down my skyscraper home in part because a neighbor called it "an eyesore". So, scratch one jumping point.

Chaos has a bunch of new buildings in it -- a good many of them are jumpable - did it the other night

Takes a lil skill sometimes to avoid balconies and pull the cord as close to the ground as you can, but a lotta fun.

I like making high free falls and trying to hit the FLY button at the very last second. The object is to get as close to the ground without a splat. Its incredible how simple my fun can be sometimes.

Feel free to jump off Hucci Tower on Gold Coast. There are a few other tall buildings on the sim, but the main Tower is around 140-150m high at the top (depending on what you include).

Beat me to it. Gray has a tower that is pretty tall, and at the center is a sky tether that goes up to (I think) 768 meters, with some builds on the way up.

I used to jump off stuff all the time. Nexus Prime was my favorite build for jumping.

I'm having a new financial plaza built in Shinda. The main towers should be good for base jumping. Just TP into Shinda, and look for the big blue buildings.. you can't miss it!

Can't see enough to make jumping worthwhile

I find that skydiving does not do much for me because, if the draw distance is high enough to see well the fps is too low and you just have a slide show, but if you turn the draw distance down to increase the fps you can't see anything and it's just a boring wait.

Am I doing something wrong or do I just have a bad attitude?

My Second Life skydiving experience has been the same. I can't see anything until I'm very low. Good thing the chute opens instantly.

A real world opening like that would break bones, lines, and/or fabric.

I love skydiving/base jumping. Base jumping more-so, actually. I prefer to jump from low altitude because free-fall to me is not as much fun as floating down with ground scenery to see. I have a platform at 200m in a private sim (Tavanau 32,32) so that I can set my draw distance way up to 256+ and see the ground all the way down. We have one of Cubey's parachute targets set up at ground level, which is alot of fun.
