can coordinate through Apotheus to help keep the airfield stocked with other people's aircraft.(Shadow, I'll drop in on the weekend sometime just to finish that project.)
This might be a short break. Might be a long one. Don't know.

Lately I've noticed that Second Life has become less of a game than a Second Job. I'm taking a bit of time off from the game to find my sanity again (I think I left it on the bus yesterday). During this time, I won't be selling any vehicles, because I don't like to do that without being around to support the sales, answer questions, or customize things. I'll remove all of my vehicles from Zoe Airfield when I log on tonight. I'm sure that other Zoe Airfield members (aka, "Zoenojin"
can coordinate through Apotheus to help keep the airfield stocked with other people's aircraft.(Shadow, I'll drop in on the weekend sometime just to finish that project.) This might be a short break. Might be a long one. Don't know. Seeya. -Cubey _____________________

Aww, Cubey, we'll miss you!
You gave me and Garth (and a lot of other vehicle makers) the kick in the pants needed to make real quality products (even if it's only to compete with you. ). |

Cubey, "sanity" is an overrated and possibly mythical grail after which to quest. I hope your hiatus is short and you come back soon to add your creative spark to SL.

Cubey, I hope you're not gone for too long and you don't regain too much sanity. Enjoy your time off!

I understand Cubey.
I've been debating leaving SL. I'm finding its not as much fun as before. I think it was more carefree before the advent of 1.2. Yeah there were prim and land hoarders, but now it seems everyone is focused on how much they are getting. No fun stuff. So I'll probably take long breaks for now. I find I enjoy the forums more than actually being in SL. _____________________

Cubey,
I can completely understand, it is something I find myself considering as well. Hopefully your break is short, and that you come back as creative as ever. Thank you for all you have done so far. You are single handedly responsible for my addiction to vehicles in SL. I will miss seeing your work for awhile. Cristiano |

Have a good break.
I may take one myself if RL money gets too tight. |

Same here. I was excited at the possibility of making RL money playing SL but then I thought better. It's a gamble. You're not guaranteed to make any amount of money no matter how much work you put into SL. So I decided to get a RL job instead
![]() I figure, if I spend all my time coding LSL, why not spend all my time coding PHP instead, and get one heck of a lot more money for it, and guaranteed monthly amounts of it too. So nowadays I'm playing First Life a lot more often... |

See you this weekend Cubey, I know exactly how you feel. In a year of playing SL I have taken severa Hiatuses. Its a good thing it breeds new inspiration to do new things. I hope it doesn't turn into a permenant Hiatus because you would definatly be missed and the wonderful Vehicles you create is what makes the fun time after the work time enjoyable.
Take Care my friend and hope to see you back in the game soon. Sincerely, Shadow Weaver _____________________

Yes, the rocket shoes! I've been having fun with them. I recommend them highly. Great idea, Aces, and great execution, Cubey. The flames and sounds make them extra cool.

Thanks everyone! It's really encouraging to see these kinds of messages.
On another note, this morning I heard a rumour that bothered me, and I thought I should address it here. The gist of rumour was that I was leaving Second Life because I was embarrassed about all the bugs in my scripts, particularly one that made people's arms stick out when they drive my vehicles. Ok, this is a completely ridiculous rumour. Yes, in the last couple of weeks, I've tried some new things in LSL that didn't work the first time around. There was a small bug that prevented the vehicle from "listening" to the owner. That's fixed now, and to my knowledge my vehicles are bug-free. If you *find* a bug in my scripts, please let me know and I'll fix it and provide and update. No problem. As for being personally responsible for people's arms sticking out... COME ON. That's a bug introduced with SL 1.2.5 and it has nothing to do with anyone's vehicles. It will happen when people are standing around, sitting, or whatever. Here's a link to the forum topic about this: /111/42/8449/1.html So... rumour is silly, please ignore. I'll see you all in a while! cheers -Cubey _____________________
