Hey i logged on this morning and my sim was covered in invisible measles! I thought I wouild post this cause I have never seen it before and I am curious as to what it is. It doesn't seem server related as it goes over into the adjoining sims. If you look a the mini-map on the attched pics you can see lots of black squares all over the sim. The top picture shows what appears to be kind of phantom ressed square on the ground where one of these squares on the mini-map islocated, but for most of them, there is nothing to be seen when you get there. The bottom pic for instance shows me standing in the middle of one of the biggest of the measle "spots." Additionaly, there are other effects like my avatar being folded over double, and a kind of "stutter" when walking near one of the spots. Does anyone know what this is? I am just curious. Is it just some screwup on my machine or a real in-world thing? Edit: The big blue dot is myu house and nothign to do with the measles.

Have seen a post like this before...click on view>highlight transparent...see if there is an invisible scripted object doing this.

Also try going to debug and taking off the surface patch to make sure nothing is "buried" in your backyard. O.O

I've seen this on and off ever since I've been in SL. When it happens sometimes the ground in places where the black squares are on the mini-map also doesn't look right - the texturing on the land seems wrong. I've never known what causes it but a relog normally sorts it out.

I did not check for malicous objects etc. cause I was thinking it's a bug. Does anyone know if it might be related to that strange line in the last update about "two sims loading on one machine" sometimes? I am also curious because Achemon has always had terrible performance (subjective account) as a sim even though it is a newer machine and there are hardly ever more than two people in it. Even at home on my brand new laptop and with decent throughput on the network, adequate (76 memory, etc. I often get 3fps with me as the only occupant of the sim. There are a few jerks who have left the sim a long time ago and left scripted junk laying around or in the air, but i have been unable to get anyone interested in helping with determining if that has anything to do with it. LL wont put on autoreturn on the abandoned parcels, and there is not "Flying Squad" of script checkers (although there probably should be). .

Regarding poor performance, your sim might have been afflicted with the bug that was launching three simulators on a single dual-core machine. As for the junk laying around, you may want to post to the Land Management forum and see if they can help you out with that.
