If I remember correctly, Hippos are the most Dangerous animals to people in Africa, causing more deaths and injuries than any other animal.

Absolutely, here's an article from "Africa News http://www.namibian.com.na/2000/October/africa/00AC8AC795.html) about "rampaging hippos spreading terror."

I quote: " They were attacking boatmen, beating up cows and ripping up rice fields. The herds of "marauding herbivores" had been chased out of Mali already and spilled into Niger, behaving worse than drunken soccer fans."

Hippos weigh up to 8000 pounds and can gallop at 18 m.p.h., Hippos defecate copious amounts into the rivers and ponds in which they wallow all day, for instance, they mark jungle trails by excreting a lethal mixture of urine and feces while twirling their tails like a propeller. This probably explains the traditionally sluggish market for pet Hippos.

Nevertheless, being eaten by one, well thats... an accomplishment.

I heard an identical story about 20 years ago, including the details about the dwarf bouning sideways off the trampoline and the hippo swallowing the guy because he triggered the gag reflex. The only difference was I don't think it took place in Asia. I wonder if it's an urban legand, like the one where 40 something militant dwarfs duke it out with a lion in an arena (and become cat toys)?

That being said, I hear hippos are mean and dangerous critters, as others have said. Not for the petting zoo.

What it doesn't say in there is how long it took the crowd to realize the horror. I mean, surely the dwarf wouldn't have been processed by the digestive system so quickly? I thought hippos were slow in that regard... couldn't they have used some method to rescue him? I don't get it.

OMG... hippos... the official animal of SL... :O

Yup - and of course we only know one dwarf with a trampoline..

Lucky for me I had one of Ironchefs notorious fish tacos in my pocket, which helped 'lubricate' the inside of the hippo and I was quickly ejected out the other end.

My apollogies in advance for the ungodly smell that is currently around clementia - Jakes waterfall makes an excellent shower - and to the residents in boardwalk, there ia a large hippo turd in the middle of your main street -- just treat it as a roundabout!

I fell into your little plot: I saw "clementia" as "DEMENTIA."
