Verbena go away!

Well, as much as I post in the forums, which isn't that much, I figured it was about time to let the world know here. I'll be deploying for the second time to Iraq here Real Soon. Of course, due to OPSec, I can't give out exact times and dates, but here real soon, I won't be on SL for a year. I figured, while I have the chance, I'll share just a few things that Secondlife has taught me in my time here

1. Secondlife proves that you can be more creative than you think. I started SL knowing nothing about 3D design, photoshop, anything. Over a year, I've learned some serious building, how to do digital artwork, the difference between how things look and how the what numbers should say...it's been a wonderful lsesson.

2.. I've learned that people can be both the most wonderful, and most evil, in a digital enviroment. Much thanks to Jennyfur, Flippa, Pandastrong, Aces Spade, Soiuxie, Willows Zander and Caldera, and Yashu for being such awsome people. Ohh, and if I forgot your name and you were nice to me, I'm sorry. (and no, I'm not going to list the people whom have been mean to me. It's not worth it!)

3. Things change. SL has helped alot with learning that, nothing is ever permenant, and to learn to expect the next thing to come with anticipation, instead of dread.

Anywho, in closing, thanks to everyone on SL. WIthout you, this world wouldn't be as great a place as it is. I'll miss you all, and, though there IS a real chance I might not be back, I can't wait to get back home and see youall again!

Wow, Verbena. I've learned a lot of the same things in my year in SL. We even have the same SL birthday.

I can't imagine the journey upon which you're about embark. I also cannot imagine the courage of soul necessary to join the men and women you're going to serve with. Congratulations on being a very strong human being, certain to begin living a very interesting and different life. I can't thank you enough for your service to the Free World and to your country.

May God bless the path you take and may he also bring you home, quickly and in one piece, to those who love you. Best of luck.

I don't think we've never met, but my brother was stationed at Fort Hood for awhile.

I wanted to thank you and your fellow soldiers for the sacrifices you've chosen to make on behalf of the rest of use, and to wish you a safe tour and a happy return.
