I don't know if anyone has seen this (or made a thread linking to it), but here goes:

James Grimmelmann (from LawMeme) wrote up an interesting piece about the "tax revolt" here in SL - it's one part of a series detailing the legal and social issues coming out of gaming.

It's also been linked to by Slashdot.

One of my lifetime ambitions has finally been achieved: a project I've worked on has made it to the front page of slashdot!

Until this point we haven't made it past their games section, although Linden Lab got a misleading hyperlink in a post asking if THERE was going to be the metaverse .

A new lifetime ambition I've recently added is to own one of these or an .equivalent .

Hrmmm I dunno Andrew, I think Second Life got posted to /. when it went live.

I can recall two times when I've seen SL linked on ./ infact. Neither of them mentioned "There", which is extremely far from being any sort of metaverse, lmao. Unless you like having everybody as Clints or Barbies ;)

Let's see - slashdot, time magazine, Slate.. we've definitely had some interesting media coverage. But what would be the most UNLIKELY article ever?

Cat Fancy, "Second Life: The Purrfect Remedy for Your Depressed Feline"?

Casino Gaming World, "Ama Omega's Arcade Secrets"?

If Casino Gaming World wants Ama's secrets, I may be "persuaded" to reveal them due to inside knowledge... for a price of course.

:D
