Lindens have them. Ask one to give you one. Remember, to get version 1.3, its the latest.

Once you set it down somewhere, the votes will go to you. Anyway, that's the way it's designed.

You should be able to walk up to any voting machine, take a copy of it, then place that copy wherever you want. Once you take the copy and place it in-world, the new copy belongs to you, therefore you get the votes.

Waaait a minute here.
So you could take a voting machine to a really nice looking house and then overlap it on top of the owner's voting machine and if the owner doesn't have the presence of mind to check, all the votes for that property go to your machine, ergo to you?
I thought the votes went to whomever owned the land at the machine's location. Incidentally, I wish there was an unlocked version of the voting machine so I could make one that looked different. Is there some call in there that's top secret? I guess if they simply made it a library call like 'llVote' then it could be misused... letting people attach llVote to a sensor event. Though there are ways around it. I'd like to see it done.

the vote station is definitely not linked to land as I have a build on someone elses land for which i get votes, it is linked to the owner.
So yes people could be tricky but they would get caught and even if its not in the CS i'm sure thats against the rules.

There are no voting stations that you can change. If you had access to the script, you could change the script so people could vote multiple times, that you (the owner) could vote multiple times, etc etc etc. It would be bad. From what I have heard the mini voting station was created after the people of Lindenburg asked for it. Maybe you should ask the lindens to create another model of the voting station. Better yet, you create it yourself, give them the model, and for a L$ fee, have them convert it to a working vote station.

Adam:
To get your voting station, go to ANY place that has a voting station and Right-Click on the station, choose Acquire, then choose Take Copy.
This will put a copy of the Voting Station in your object inventory. Then go back to your house and drop the object where you want it.
I will be ingame later in the evening today, so as usual, if there is anything I can do to help, please feel free to call on me.

Cool, thanks!
I'm working on building a miniature landscape on my land in Teal, so this is great.
