ok I know the log on servers are off at midnight, but I'm a night person and I like to try to stay on till 2-3 sometimes 5 in the morning, but twice now I happened to crash just after midnight. and of course I can't get back on, and well to be honest my night is ruined. now I know that is the time you guys reset the servers etc... and thats why you don't want people getting on, so that your not kicking as many off when you do. but belive you me I would rather get kicked off 100 times a day if I knew I could always log on cuase the log on servers where up 24hrs, then get kicked 50 times and always hope it's not after midnight. so everyone that agrees with me please reply to this message, and maybe linden labs will hear our plee.

I am almost glad when I crash at 11:59pm, then I know I will at least get 5 hours of sleep.
And I am afraid of when SL goes 24/7. Starbucks has already seen a noticeable increase in sales in my area.
What I want to know is what happens around midnight SL time? Anything backend? I often find at that time I can't rez things, I delete stuff and don't see the $ go back into my account, I get stuck in terrible lag areas, I can't teleport home, and when I can, things are missing, like the ground, me, blah... blah.. blah.

I wonder about that too feniks. My little escapade to Minna -10000, -10000 started right after 12 PST last night.

I remember them saying that they aren't able to keep the servers up 24/7 cuz... well... they aren't stable enough yet. Also, there's no one on call to come down and reboot the server. Yet. Just be glad it isn't from 1600 to 2200, like before. Man, that sucked.

Man, I was so excited to come beta test this for the first time. Wifey goes to bed at one and I sit down to go through Second Life orientation.
Can't login.
What a hassle. Next time I get a chance to play: Monday... maybe later. *Especially* if the login time cuts off at midnight. Almost all of my gaming is done after midnight.
Why can't the offline times be like 0300 to 0700 or something when people really aren't going to be logging on?

OMG
What am I going to do? I already spend more time on this life than the one I get paid for :-(
I went to bed after 3:00 central time this morning. And that was after dodging several sims as they bounced up and down ;-)
Finally I realized I had taked more than half an hour to walk across my bedroom in Immaculate. I must have dozed off a dozen times. I finally gave up and staggered to my RL bed.
I had better learn some discipline, I guess. And I won't learn it hanging around Skee'd place in the hot tub late at night laughing at people's naughty bits! ;-)

I too, am upset sometimes (more so lately then before, admittadly).. I live in the midwest and get off work at 2am... right when the PST Login Server shuts down. And I go TO work at 3pm (only an hour of playtime.. so I don't dare login, for it may be a very bad judgment call in timing on my part thereafter). I can't wait for the extended hours, then I can finally quit the Sims! ::laughs

Yep. I'm more of an "all-day" gamer. I play the 3d MMO Community Game,"There" with the handy little backdoor login & I was surprised to see that I was only able to get onto Second Life at 1:00pm Central time. Well,I'm only on Second Life & There a lot on weekends & vacation times,so I guess I haven't seen a lot yet...

Yea, There does have a backdoor and we don't, but, thats alright, since There is awful. I played There and I didn't find any point to it. Its just events and driving buggies...You can do everything you can do in SL in there plus much much more!
