Getting ready for my RL move, and for my computer to be down until DSL is hooked up at the new place, so here's the new chat info for y'all.

It's not an entire server all to ourselves, but just one room on an established server, so I made it password required to enter the room.

http://irc.everywherechat.com:8000/?room=SL

A box will pop up asking you for the password to enter. That password is: POG

None of your nicknames are registered there -- nor do they actually *need* to be, but you can register them over there any time ya want (assuming they aren't already taken by other people)

For IRC client / trillian users:
/server irc.everywherechat.com 7000
Room: #SL
password: POG

How do you join a channel with a password, with straight IRC commands?

should do it.

When I do /join #SL I get "*** #SL: Cannot join #SL: (+k) Channel key required." no chance to enter a password appears, or to type /pass POG.

doh. that only works for the server, not the channel...

(there's a space there in between #SL and POG -- but no space between the # and SL)
