There is some RL Lawyer based in SL that has come up with a contract of sorts that if you group up with someone over a business idea you each sign this in world form and it acts as a legal binding document.
I don't know this persons name but I am hoping someone will ?

If you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Thank you..

Its about time Lilybeth, I would also be interested in this - although for the moment I just want to be on my own (after a couple of bad experiences).

get a real lawyer outside of sl.

there is no such thing as a actual binding contract i nsl
because of one true reason.
the lawyer has your document yes.
but whats to keep him from modifying it. or abusing it

therefore go to a real lawyer and have a contract drawn up legally.
thats another issue as well.

There ARE some lawyers in SL. What they're doing there, I'm not sure, since there are no laws, only the TOS.

As for your contract, it's a good idea...but to be enforceable, it would have to be executed outside of SL, with RL contact information and signatures of both parties.

I also wonder how this would work with international law. Some laws are different in different countries but never mind that, how do you enforce something like this without LL commitment to help? I mean, so what... theoretically, I break a contract and log off with you money. Unless LL releases information, you got nothing.

As a matter of fact, I could make another avi, come back on and do it again??

So, I don't think any document is legal without LL backing here.
