Hello all,
I am looking for translators (any language) who have at least two of the following three characteristics:
1) General knowledge of Second Life; 2) Qualifications: 3) Experience.
At this point, if you are contacted by me, that means that I am interested in your profile, therefore, in order to make things clear, you are free to ask as many questions as you can about the project (EX. How much do u pay? When? How? etc... ).
All candidates will be asked to provide information about qualifications and/or experience. The second selection consists in translating a brief paragraph of maximum 100 words from one of the languages spoken by the candidate into English.

What kind of qualifications are you looking for? I'm a university graduate in English linguistics and have been doing professional translation and editing jobs since 1997. I can offer German-English and vice versa, with specialisations in linguistics, archaeology, Egyptology, (art) history, and IT. Edit: Yes, I have experience in SL, too!

I have done translating in SL between English and Japanese and Chinese. Some examples include translating an English technical manual for a gadget into Japanese/Chinese, another was to translate some notecards for an art exhibition into Japanese/Chinese.

From: Miki Jannings I have done translating in SL between English and Japanese and Chinese. Some examples include translating an English technical manual for a gadget into Japanese/Chinese, another was to translate some notecards for an art exhibition into Japanese/Chinese. Hi Miki, thanks for responding to the ad. Please note that other bonuses should be available, but, since I am at the beginning I cannot promise anything yet, because this project is a medium-long term one. It might be considered as an experiment to see if it can also work in RL. Please read below and let me know if you are interested. If you accept the conditions, expect to receive more information about me and the project. How it works: 1st level translator: 1L$/w plus 200 L$ after 1,000 words as a bonus. After 10,000 words you become a 2nd level translator: 1.2 LS$/w plus 150. After 10,000 w 3rd: 1.5 LS$/w plus 100. After 10,000 w Top level translator: 2 LS/w. (All agencies in SL pay 1 Linden. If there is any exception, please let me know, since it is always good to know what our competitors do).
