NOTICE: Escort Island Sim vs Escort Island club

NOTICE: The new sim named "Escort Island" is not associated in any way with the long standing club "Escorts of Escort Island", located in the Cerura region. It is an apparent attempt to compete with an existing successful club by capitalizing on their reputation and trademark.

I'm not sure it was so deliberate. It is a common name. To compete you will need to up the marketing of your business. Sucess in SL means you lasted more than three months. So you already have them beat.

I'm not one of the owners, a good friend of mine is, but they always have openings for qualified staff. Why its relevant to the employment category is the new copycat place has already set up an escort club with rental ads. I don't want people to be confused about the relationship between the clubs. The club in Cerura has been around for about 3 years, the new sim was opened yesterday.

And yes, it was deliberate, the owner of the new sim was employed at the Cerura club for one day, and terminated for cause.

Linden Lab needs to offer a Name Registry service and stop helping greifers attack honest business people's business'. How hard is it for the Island Store system to access a registry of group, island and parcel names before allowing the Island to be named? Most business people in SL would not mind paying a fee to have their name protected. Thsi would protect our investment of time and money also.

There is a sign by the entrance to the club which will give the job information, but the short version is:

* 30 days time in SL
* Upgraded appearance
* Sufficient escort knowledge to satisfy the guests

Escort Island is an escort club, there is no category for "dancer".
