My name is Eric Elofson and I am a film producer from NYU's graduate Film Program. We are shooting a short film about a man who finds love in second life and must choose between his real life wife and the "woman" he is in love with in SL.
I am the Producer of the part of the film shot on a soundstage and on location in Singapore, but we are looking for a Second Life Producer (credited) who will be able to assist in the acquisition of props/locations/actors in SL.
The SL Producer will be credited in the film, and receive invitations to the various Film Festivals it circuits in Fall 2010-2011, and in the case that the film is selected at larger film festivals, transportation and accommodation to the festival may be provided by the Festival.
There is a small budget for the SL portion of the film, but above-the-line crew positions are unpaid.
I will admit that though I know a significant amount about real world film production, I know very little about Second Life.
All interested parties can contact me directly at NYUasia at Gmail.com.

Hiya - Here in Second Life we call movies "Machinima" and it's in my humble opinion that to find a good SL Producer to work with may take some time, effort, and research. I offer these links to help start your worthwile journey: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Machinima (general info) http://slmachinimaarts.ning.com/ (guild to find ppl) http://www.koinup.com/in-second-life/on-videos/ (samples of work yay!) Also a fantastic tool is YouTube. You can search for Second Life Vids or Machinima in general and perhaps find a creator who has the special "style" you seek to mesh best with your project! -Mayren
