someone saying it has malware and spyware i should completely ignore and trust you? obviously you can push the site and not have to worry, because you wont have to PAY for DAMAGES that any computer would incur going onto such sites. therefore relieving you of any accountability or responsibility of claimants seeking damages. instead it gives you the badge of calling people ignorant in a forum as if that would give any credibility to you.

This is completely ridiculus, would anybody like to explain to me how that site contains anyform of malware and spyware?

OK when you do surveys, most survey web pages carry spyware so you tend to get pop ups every few mins when used these pages to do surveys, also then you notice pc so slow do a virus scan and find lots of malware on pc, i have done it when i joined sl and took me ages to get rid of this, so i dont even do surveys!!!

so no its not ridiculus its happened to me and proberly lots more too, why would they warn you of this on this forumif it never happens!!

all i am saying is that this is a trusted site and i think it is wrong of you to sterotype every site which offers surveys as containing spyware. This could help alot of people but sadly the secondlife community is not giving it a chance.

Data miners are data miners. Our data is worth L$ because it's worth $ to them. The reason this value exists is because they sell it to scammers and spammers. The spam and risk of identity theft isn't worth the L$. (=_=)

Now, you say it's a "trusted" site. Please tell, how do you back up this claim? Trust is earned and not a default value. Especially on the Internet. (^_^)y

instead of becoming overeactive you should really pay attention to your own ability (or lack thereof) to reading the english language. because the only insane ACTING person here is YOU.

now i will explain what the poster said in another way so your mind could process it better, God willing, heh. first the poster is talking about data miners which is a general term for those who put out those online surveys. see what happens is the companies out there want a demographic. gee i dont want to put words out there you may or may not know. so let me explain what a demograhic is: a demographic is a look into a group or groups of people, such as: sex, race, age, household income etc etc. that is where the date mining comes in. now they get paid for that information. and in turn they take a very small amount of that and pass it on to the survery taker, that would be the propective: us. now some of them not all have malware and spyware. if you READ CAREFULLY what was said you might have caught the word: RISK. there is a risk of indentity theft which means it could happen. the person wasnt saying it will happen. he didnt say the site you are peddling is going to cause your indentity to be stolen. so really you become angry and miss the point of it entirely.

anyhow the time it took to explain all this was most likely a waste of my time. prove me wrong.

Some of the comments directed at Randi in this thread are unnecessary. His join date is Nov, has never posted before and clearly is not as clued up as you lot.

Can't you just explain things to him without being nasty FFS. I am quite sure he was trying to be helpful.
