PrimShy Designs has a couple of unique opportunities available to the right people. You'll have a chance to enjoy a job where you won't be tied down to specific hours, and you can even keep your clothes on (in fact, I prefer you do!). I am an established builder and retailer with a nice store that's grown in spite of myself, and I've been able to identify a few areas where I can use some help while giving a little back in return.
First, I'm interested in hiring freelance market analysts. I'm looking for people of all levels of SL experience who hate camping, but who need an in-world job to earn a little spending money or who might just like to have something to do when they're hanging out in SL. Ideal candidates should love "window shopping" in the name of research, since they'll be my "thumbs" on the pulse of the home/furnishings/home accessories market. PrimShy Market Analysts will need to search available resources on the web and in world to compare my products with competitors, using the information they gather to make suggestions regarding pricing and other features I should consider to remain competitive. "Market Analysts" will also be asked to test new products to provide feedback about their appearance, use and function. Pay isn't enormous, but will include perks like total flexibility - work when you want, as much as you want, often WHERE you want - and you will also be given FREE products that could normally cost you thousands in world!!! Also, as you build a solid track record with us, opportunities to increase your income will be offered based on the quality of the feedback and data you are able to provide.
Also, I'm accepting "applications" for a Builder's Apprentice. I will consider all levels of experience - even if you don't know how to rez a prim, I'd be happy to teach you... attitude is everything. Apprentice candidate criteria is pretty simple: prospective apprentice should be able to speak and understand English, be adept at simple math, posess patience, and have the ability to follow instructions. Creativity and a knack for detail is a plus. I'll provide you with regular one-on-one mentoring, and in return, you'll give me back the amount of time I give you by working as a sales clerk at my store - and I'll even pay you camping rates to do it, though I don't want you to just "camp."
Don't worry - it's not that terrible... I have a private sandbox with no auto return where you can still easily see the interior of my store and the teleport landing point, so you can build and practice while you "serve your time." When you are "working," you are expected to wear a PrimShy Designs employee tag, help customer's find what they need (maybe even convince them they need something else as well!), and answer questions. Traffic is moderate, but I find building while *I* work to be no trouble, so I don't think it'll pose much of a problem for you either.
If you are interested in either Market Analysis or an Apprenticeship, please drop me a notecard, and I'll contact you to set up a time to meet. To create and send a notecard, just open your inventory window and from the overhead menu in the Inventory Window, choose "Create New Notecard." Give it a name like, "Re: Analyst Position - Your Name Here," then type your message in the card and click "Save." Look up "Moonshy Littlething" in the People Search, and drag and drop the newly created notecard to the "give inventory" line in the profile. Please note that I will not respond to IMs - basic qualifications for either job require some attention to detail and an ability to follow instructions, so please consider this your pre-employment "test."
I look forward to hearing from you...!
Sincerely,
Moonshy Littlething
Primshy Designs, Oswald
