My name is Sly Matahari. I would like to help out female artist with offering a grant to one artist for one year.
This grant would include a place in SL to live, yes our very own little place in SL. 1000 prims for a year to create some beautiful art work both in world and maybe even out of world. You will also have a platform above the island that you can create on.
I bet you are wondering why I am doing this. It's easy I was one of the people who found this world in it beta state. We were all very creative, people back then would making some wonderful pieces of art. Yes here and there now I see some wonderful pieces but mostly people are trying to make money. So I decided to get back to those days in a small way and give to someone what I was given by the Lindens just a few years ago. Freedom to Create.
So how do you apply for this grant Freedom to Create? Send me your RL information, about your art (pic would help), a bio about yourself, and write a 300 word essay on how SL and this grant can help you become a better artist.

Deadline for submission is January 31,2009 at 12Midnight in Boston MA.
I will hand pick a group of female friends who you can see on my list of friends in world to help me make the choice. Announcement of grant holder will be February 10,2009.
If you want to see the island you will be living on come to Pinkies Isle. I am remodeling now for this and other new things to happen there.
