DJ JOB DESCRIPTION
DJs are the voice of The Wild Rover . DJs must be playful and hardworking, and do what it takes to keep a party moving and fun.
DJs must have their own DJ software. DJs must have their own collection of mp3s and a way to fill any request.
DJs must be able take requests and dedications, and exercise good judgment as far as what will work with the particular crowd that is in the club.
DJs must be able to play a variety of music.
DJs must be able to stream live during events or other specified hours at various times and dates. The Wild Rover events are usually 2 hours in length, and require your full attention at all times.
DJs must be able to download requested songs while streaming.
DJs are required to speak clear English while streaming, but DJs that can speak more than one language are desired.
DJs must be able to handle IMs for incoming requests, download songs, and deal with the crowd while maintaining a polite and friendly manner.
DJs are required to announce songs, requests, dedications, and event details. Events are usually themed and will be hosted by an event host.
DJs must toggle the MUSIC STREAM URLs when they start and end their shifts. "Dead air" is unacceptable.
DJs must occasionally encourage tipping other staff, ask guests to bring their friends into the club, and provide funny and witty chat to get the guests more involved in the events and contests.
DJ SALARY
DJs are currently on a "tips only" basis, and will get 100% of all tips earned.
