Hi. I am developing an in-world museum exhibit where I intend on showcasing the finest creations in SL. Can be any rezzable object, including vehicles, clocks, dresses, etc., you get the idea. Objects will be rezzed in the museum along with note cards and displays. This is a non-profit endeavor. Creators will be asked to lend us an original or copy of their work. If you will just point me towards the creator I'd be grateful. Consider this a nomination for best objects in-world! We respect intellectual rights! No selling in the exhibit allowed, but we will acknowledge creators and refer visitors to purchase sites if appropriate. Gallery at AngelGate. Anna, go take a look around at the Blackwater sim if you're looking for examples of some of the great primworks in SL.
In particular, pretty much anything by Starax is about as good as you'll get for traditional prim objects and Light Waves has some very, very nice sculpted objects. Masterful Escape, though he's sometimes a little dark, is also coming out with some amazing sculpted objects - look for "Borrowed Light" (which is in a big black box on the edge of the region, iirc.. wait for it to rez - lots of sculpties) at blackwater. Others artists, Cheen Pitney and Madcow Cosmos being two more of my favorites, also have a number of pieces at Blackwater. edit: /me seconds the SL Louvre, nominated below. _____________________
