Hello,

I am a graduate student and filmmaker seeking disabled individuals (with any form of disability) to participate in a documentary film on disability culture in Second Life.

I am currently looking for participants for interviews to be conducted in SL and/or in RL (for the latter, preferably residents of the TORONTO, ON area.)

My film's goal is to shed light on virtual worlds constructing new forms of consciousness, methods of interaction, cross-cultural learning and identities for humans.

The participants' stories will explore their own experiences as "disabled" persons challenging socially constructed stereotypes of beauty and the human body, with the help of Second Life as their primary tool.

With this film, I hope to give a poetic, political and opinionated voice to a stigmatized segment of the world population that is finding innovative ways to liberate themselves from that stigma.

I would greatly appreciate your participation and contribution to my film.

I am filming interviews in SL with anyone interested to contribute their vision and thoughts on this topic.

I am also looking for subjects to feature that I can film in real life, provided the participants live in the TORONTO, ON or surrounding area.

You can also contact me at my email: sdanilov@ryerson.ca or IM me via SL.
