Sorry if this comes off as being nit-picky or bitchy, I’m not trying to be.
Your portfolio is lovely, and if I needed a photographer I’d probably talk to you about it.

But……here’s where the bitchy part comes in.

It’s your card; the toucan is great and gives the appearance you’d be fun to work with. Though you should try redoing it in a different file format, such as .png, with .jpg your text is bleeding into the picture. Which doesn’t seem like that big a deal, but it gives off an unprofessional vibe.

This is all personal preference, but it would have made me less likely to hire you. I’d be worried that maybe my pictures would come out like that. I’m saying this cause I like your work, and I wouldn’t want you to lose a client cause this.

Umm...I do beleive his card is already saved as a .jpg file. Hence the name of the file: Archies Card .jpg.

I didn't have any problems with the "text bleeding into the picture", as Adelia stated.

Everything seemed fine to me, perhaps she should resize the window she opened the link up in. Drag the window out a bit, and VIOLA...no more bleed. :)

I am having the "bleeding" problem too

My best advice is to use something like gimp (free) or photoshop (not-free) and to set the compression setting to the lowest

Cinjin,

Notice that they said "WITH .jpg".
I believe they also said that they should change the file format to .png
Maybe you should read through again?

Its fine in SL as it doesn't rez that highly, nor is SL capable of it.
I only posted the same file here for fun and a test of response.

I have it at 1024x768 on an Eizo professional graphics monitor.
No bleed.

However the original one is a vector graphic and will blow up to cathedral wall size and remain sharp as an Englishman's wit.

One thing to remember for posting here though, the jpg is 1/10th the size of the png file and won't pass the posting limit.

I'll take that into consideration though - however as there was no response whatsoever to this ad, maybe not worth the effort!
