The *Bubblefish*Hottest DJ in SL Contest
As we progress to find our next superstar model, we have been searching high and low to find that one SL personality who not only moves the crowd, but has that magnetic attraction to blend together just the right hits at just the right times. The best DJ’s in SL attract hundreds to their venues again and again. *Bubblefish* seeks out those unique few for the grandest competition amongst themselves.
Translation: Are YOU the hottest DJ in SL. Are you the mightiest on the 1’s and 2’s?
Would you like a permanent residency gig at *Bubblefish* for a year?
How about we throw in $100,000L to boot ($100k L$).
How it works:
As a (self-proclaimed) SL DJ, you can either submit yourself to be nominated, or you may HAVE BEEN nominated by one of your admirers or fans. If this card was sent to you, your nomination has been established already, and you can consider this as an official nomination. We are limiting nominees to 40 DJ’s. Once your nominated, and you accept, a voting board will be placed at *Bubblefish*. Voters will have the ability to vote for you once a day.
You must be available to DJ one weekend (sat or sun) during the contest. Each DJ must perform once to showcase your skill here on the sim.
Nominees will be selected between Dec 1-10 by Soda Domela & Jeremy Majestic. You will be notified of your approved nomination and added to the contest group.
CONTEST BEGINS DECEMBER 5 AND RUNS THROUGH DECEMBER 31 2008

1st Prize - $100,000L + permanent weekly show at *Bubblefish* (paid)
2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Prizes – To Be Decided
HOW TO ENTER:
SUBMIT A PICTURE
1) Picture of yourself . Please include your name on your promo photo.
2) Submit your picture with FULL PERMISSIONS (copy/mod/trans) to Jeremy Majestic.
3) Invite your friends, strangers, anyone you meet to vote for you as much as they like!
HOW TO VOTE
1.) Right click on the person picture that you want to vote for and hit the 'Pay' button.
2.) Enter the number of L$ that you would like to put towards that contestant (minimum of 1 L$, maximum of (there is no maximum limit).
3.) Once that is completed, the floating text above the contestant's photo will change to show the updated number of votes and the updated number of L$.
4.) A voter can vote once a day for each competitor, but can pay as many L$ votes as he/she wants all the time.
5.) If a tie occurs, then the number of votes and $L amount are both tallied to find a winner.
CONTEST RULES
1.) It is a PRIVILEDGE to be a contestant, not a right. Please act accordingly
2.) Contest runs DECEMBER 5 TO DECEMBER 31 2008
3.) Contestants are allowed to enter at any point of the contest.
4.) If a contestant withdraws from the contest at anytime, they will not receive a refund nor will the voters.
5.) Previous *BUBBLEFISH* Contest winners, are not eligible.
6.) There are no rules on getting votes. We cannot police and monitor voting. We do not encourage using alts and paying people to vote for you, but it is not something that can be monitored or enforced. Please do not contact us to enforce this. It is beyond our control.
7.) Verbally abusing any contestants, staff member or voters will not be tolerated and is terms for banning and disqualification. Making false allegations/slandering against another contestants will result in disqualification. RESPECT is crucial.
8.) Show us what you are made of! We reserve the right to schedule you in a particular time slot, but ultimately performance times are on a first come, first serve basis. After the performance date and time is agreed upon, you must make every effort to perform on that date, at that time. The best DJ in SL will be reliable. If you are unable to make the time and are later unable to make up the performance, you will be disqualified.
We reserve the right to disqualify/ban any contestant (or voters) for non-compliance.
Contestants are to act in a mature manner. We are not the police and expect this contest to be a friendly event without fighting and bickering. It is a PRIVILEDGE to be a contestant not a right. Rules may be updated or revised at any time by the contest owner and all contestants will be notified of any changes that have been made (this applies to general rules. Prizes and voting calculations will remain the same). By entering this contest, you have agreed to abide by these rules.
EXAMPLE OF HOW RANKINGS ARE TALLIED
Each category carries a Rank.
a. Contestant receives a rank for actual votes
b. Contestant receives a rank for L$ contributed towards them
1.) If a contestant has the 1st overall number of Actual Votes, they will receive a Rank of 1st in the Actual Vote Category
2.) If a contestant has the 1st overall L$ contribution, they will receive a Rank of 1st in the L$ Contribution Category
3.) Take each ranking and add them together ( 1+ 1 = 2 )
4.) Take the Total from both Rankings and Divide by the #2 ( 2/ 2 = 1 )
This gives the Contestant a Score of 1 and is ranked # 1 overall in the contest
OTHER EXAMPLES
Actual Vote Rank : 4th, L$ Contribution Rank : 2nd ( 4+2 = 6 ) /2 = 3 ( they will be ranked 3rd )
Actual Vote Rank : 2nd, L$ Contribution Rank : 4th ( 4+2 = 6 ) /2 = 3 ( they will be ranked 3rd )
