Having sex in SL? Then I want to talk to you!

Hello!

My name is Marik Xavier-Brier. I am a graduate student at San Francisco State University in the Sexuality Studies Department. I am conducting research on sex and sexuality in Second Life. I am conducting interviews among avatars and I am calling for participants who are 18 years or older, identify their avatar as a gay male, are frequent residents (at least 4 hours a week), and enjoy having sex in-world.

The purpose of this study is to examine how people experience and express their sexuality in virtual environments. The goal of the project is to gain a better understanding of the experiences of residents, as well as how virtual environments and communities are formed and interact. Participation in this research is an interview that will last approximately 45-60 minutes.

Marik to learn how people experience sex in Second Life, I suggest you stop by our store, BARTLETT & NIELSEN. Here you'll find over 100 sex beds , each with over 150 couples animations. Going through them will give you a pretty good idea how people enjoy sex in SL.

I dont agree Blaze I have a sex bed and there are many animations in the menu i will never use, so to make a claim that cause its in your bed its being done by many is so wrong. then Then again you didnt place this to help the survey did you.

I thank everyone for the replies (unfortunately my last name wasn't chosen for any deeper reason than it just sounded good- I wish I could lie and tell people otherwise). As for the suggestion about the sex furniture, I'll take your recommendation very tongue-and-cheek. I am hoping to gather interviews (for this study I'm not utilizing surveys, since it doesn't allow people to discuss topics fully) not on the mechanics of sex, more so on how residents perceive, experience, and express their sexuality and sexuality in relation to Second Life as a whole. I have been fortunate to talk with a few individuals and I hope to have the opportunity to speak with more.
