The Grand McNally Comedy Club is looking for an adventurous person to take the reins and manage the club. I am currently doing this but I want to focus on my acting which I cannot do right now as much as I would like.
This person does not need to have experience managing clubs but it would be helpful. You also do not need to be familiar with theater and comedy clubs. You DO need to be organized and be able to keep everyone on the same page. You will be responsible for finding talent, posting events, driving traffic to the place, and assisting me in managing talent.
You will be paid at least 15 percent of all profit once the bills have been paid. I will pay more if you prove to be very helpful and make a decent profit. I do not care if you choose to have more than 1 job, however, you must be present at all shows.
The Grand McNally Comedy Club has been in SL for about one month now. It is open from Friday to Sunday for shows. This allows the rest of the week for the talent to rehearse and reduces the pressure for you of managing shows throughout the week. The Goal of the Grand McNally is to give new artists a taste of the business and to help them get their start. It is run more like a professional theater than a club with a focus on comedy.
You will receive my full support in managing the club. Any decisions you make will be enforced by me. You will be an essential part of the workings of the club. I really need someone to run the day-to-day aspects of the club while I focus on training and acting. Also, as the summer ends I will be returning to school and will be unavailable to manage it as often. It will essentially become your show until I come back in the Winter. Cool huh?
