Hi people, I'm a researcher for the Helsinki School of Economics (Finland). I am conducting research into virtual worlds for my dissertation project, and I would really appreciate you taking the time to complete an online questionnaire. Can you please help me? I am conducting a study to examine opinions of those who participate virtual world communities. One of these communities that I am really interested in hearing from is the Second Life. By participating in this study, you will help me understand people's Second Life experience in general. Participation will take approximately 10 minutes. The responses you give in this questionnaire will remain confidential, and you are only asked to provide your age and gender. No contact information or email address will be asked. Thank you very much for your help and time. Please follow the link below to take the survey: http://www.webropol.com/P.aspx?id=255886&cid=56235744

I visited the link you provided and got as far as the second screen before the questions as put seem not to make sense in English.
"Using this online system makes it easier to participate in the virtual world"
IF the online system is Second Life... and the virtual world is Second Life... then this question reads:
Using Second Life makes it easier to participate in Second Life.
IF you mean using Second Life makes it easier to participate in virtual worlds... it still doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.
I'd recommend that you discuss the questions with someone who is a native speaker of English, because I really wanted to help, but I can't spend the time required to work out what these questions REALLY mean.
Further on yu say things like: The members of this online community are trustworthy. agree/disagree...
which is a bit like saying "The people of the UK are trustworthy. Agree/disagree"
Think this needs work before people will give you useful answers. If you want help with the questions, I am willing to assist. Cali

Have to agree with "Caliandris"
I took the survey finished it.
The Questions were a bit hard to understand, also repetive.
questions should be easier to understand, i.e. "In this virtual world", "In Second Life" the later is easier to connect with.
As to real world products and business, would I like a Pepsi or "Cola", also bussiness doing active or inter-active bussiness, depends on the extent. Like I do not want to pay a game paid, and used for advertising, but would sell a cup of maxwell house coffee (for a %) and if the coffee had good script "umm good coffee" etc. but not "I love Maxwell house Coffee".
In other words the questions have to be more easy to relate to, and to the point. IMHO

Thanks for your help with my survey. I really appreciate your help and comments. I'm sorry for any bad English and repetitive questions, but input from users of the community is vital in order to accomplish my study.
