Do you create your own textures?
Do you have an inventory full of your own textures just sat there collecting dust?
There are thousands of content creators who either prefer to spend their time building or dont own/cant use paint programs so depend on people who can for their textures.
Without textures SL would be plywood and so the role they play and the creators who make them is huge, how rewarding would it be to see your artwork skillfully applied to a beautiful building in SL? And be paid in L$ for that honour?
Textures R Us is a 4.5 year old business in SL with over 70 texture artists selling their graphics direct to the SL content creation public. We are once again recruiting texture artists to join our 70 strong team who undertake custom orders or simply create from their own imagination graphics to display for sale at TRU.
You are allowed to sell your own work from your own stores of course also.
Whilst we are agents for 3DTotal.com, Subdimensionstudios.com, Textureworks.com, Jaguarwoman.com, 3DRender.com, Ambientlight.com and Dexsoftmultimedia.com we also have many freelance graphic artists using software ranging from Photoshop to Poser, Blender and Maya.
A hand full of our artists have gone on to own their own stores in SL and make a real living from their textures. How successful you want to be depends on how motivated and driven you are. Most artists drop around 2 sets a month off whilst a hand full make it their full time role in SL and as such are the most successful.
Textures R Us (TRU) has a true traffic of approx 12,000 a day ( no campers or bots )
We are about to launch our own independant website allowing customers to search by key words, artist and price and buy direct from even when they are not logged into SL.
Their textures will be waiting when they do log in. They can also teleport from the website to the vendor in the store directly. This removes all issues of LAG and slow rez delays and our customers who beta tested the site have given us great feedback.
It costs nothing to join only your time in creation of your textures and the upload fees of your work. Its a superb way to launch your own brand if you later decide to open your own store selling game textures.
Or just a simple and free way to make some spending money for SL.
You simply create, upload, drop off at the store and we will take care of the customer service side of things on your behalf.
The L$ from your sales hits your account instantly, we the vendors contain " split scripts" that share the L$ between TRU and yourself at the point of payment.
You will recieve details of your sales in your SL transaction history just as you would if you sold anything in SL.
