This section describes how to use the game. You can find the rules of classic (English) checkers at the end of this manual. Your checkers board comes fully-function and ready to play. Just bring your friends and have some fun. The game begins with all the pieces on the board. Control panel to the right from main board is used to move, capture, crown pieces, sit players and restart the game. Control panel has:
(1) Start game buttons (two, one for each player). They tell the board who is playing.
(2) Piece controls. Grey arrows move selected pieces along diagonals, and red arrows move crowned pieces up down, left and right.
(3) The capture-crown button. This large square button brings out dialog used to capture and crown pieces.
(4) Reset button. Puts all pieces in starting position.
(5) Help button. Touch the help button for these instructions.
- The game does:
- Allow to move, capture, crown pieces (provides gameplay)
- Keep track of who is playing, and prevents strangers from interfearing with the board
- The game does not:
- Check whether moves are ligitimate. Our advanced version (coming soon) will do that for you.
HOW TO PLAY A GAME

To START A NEW GAME, touch the "Red" button on control panel to play red, or "White" to play white pieces. The game knows who is playing, and prevents other avatars from interfearing with the board.
To MOVE A PIECE, touch it to select (selected piece lights up), and click on the appropriate arrow on control panel. When you finished your move, touch the piece again to de-select it.
To CAPTURE A PIECE, touch it to select, then click on the capture-crown button to bring up capture-crown dialog. Click "capture".
To CROWN a piece, touch it to select, click capture-crown button on control panel, and select "Crown".
To PLAY ANOTHER GAME, touch the "Reset" button. This brings all pieces into starting position.
When you are FINISHED PLAYING, touch "Red' button again if you were playing red, or "White" - if you played white. This lets the board know the game stopped copmletely.
Your board has a HARD RESET option, which prevents abuse by avatars that refuse to vacate the board. To hard-reset the game, type "MOB-BOOT-ALL" in local chat. This boots both players from the board. Your board will ONLY respond to a hard-reset command by it's owner.
