Jade is the most important gem to the Orientals and is regarded as the ‘Stone of Heaven’. Prized for its healing powers and protective qualities, jade is said to assist in the quest for immortality. The Chinese character for jade resembles a capital ‘I’ with 3 lines across it – the top, middle and bottom. The top line represents Heaven, the middle for Mankind and the bottom line stands for Earth. Jade accessories are very common in Chinese families – many people wear their jade for life. Jade is said to be able to shield their owners from harm and enhance their health.

Money frogs, also known as ‘chan chu’ are the mythical wealth deliverers in Chinese legends. The legend goes that these mysterious Frogs would appear at full moon near several households. The next day, these households would profit a fortune in monetary gains. Hence people started placing images of these frogs in hope that they would come and bless the family. Hence Money Frogs are synonymous with great wealth.

How to use a feng shui money frog:

Chan Chu is usually placed near a cash register or in a wealth corner.

Placing a money frog inside your front door facing inwards symbolizes money coming in to your home or business.

Chan Chu figurines make a great gift idea for newly weds, college grads, entrepreneurs or housewarming.
