TickeTek is a Ticket Point Based Gaming system. Based off Token and Ticket Gaming in Real Life. Players Pay to play the games and recieve ticket points in return when they win. the ticket points are then used in a special vendor that exchanges the tickets for non transfer products that you place in the vendors.

ticketek is compliant with the new SL gambling laws and a great way to increase money and traffic into your store or game room.

ticketek points are non-transferable, not reusable, non sellable, non copyable and are only good with the gameroom they are used in.

the vendors only take in items that are non transferable to the next owner.

this assure that neither the points nor the prizes have a value set to them.

please read FAQ below for further info about this.

Q&A - FAQ - Questions n' Stuff
*************************

Q. The banning of gambling in secondlife says that games cannot payout any real-world currency or "thing of value"
Isnt the method your using for this gaming falling under the "thing of value" situation?

A. for something to be considered a thing of value. a item has to have a true value. and a method of being purchased
TickeTek Ticket Points Cannot be purchased from you - they cant be regambled - and Cannot be Transfered Therefore cannot
have a value attached to them.

Q. Ok, Thats fine.. but what about those prizes that the vendor holds? the tickets may not have value but surely those items would!

A. Nope, TickeTek Vendors will not allow an item to be set as Transfer for the next Owner. Which means items cannot be transfered or
resold - therefor removing the value of the item.

Q. Your still wrong.. i desire more proof that this system is compliant.

A. Boy you are stubborn. well take this piece of info into consideration and if this doesnt do it for you then nothing will.

This is the Updated FAQ for the Gambling ban. Look a few lines down and you will see this.

((((What about games in which no Linden dollars or other â??considerationâ?? is paid out?
If the â??payoutâ?? involves objects that are more akin to novelty objects that cannot readily be converted into Lindens, real-world currency or value, then that activity will likely be permitted.))))

Basicly right there from Linden Labs themselves. (novelty objects that cannot be readily converted into Lindens, RL currency or value)
items from the vendor as well as the ticket points both fall under this classification.

Awsomely Done!

Just from reading your description i feel this is a great attempt to establish some sort of gaming back into sl while being compliant with LL policy............HOWEVER I highly suggest you run this thru LL and document all chats /phone with them on it as it has been seen, some lindens are removing all games, even those compliant, simply booting them to inventory and issuing warnings without ever checcking the device to see if it complies or not. I would hate to see so much developed content be deleted and no explaination given cept "we are hiding behind our new policy that lets us say almost anything is gambling".

I WISH YOU LUCK and will try to see one of these later today!

Awesome!!!

I hated having to hang out on Yahoo Games and Pogo to play video poker. :-) The thrill is to beat the system, not how much money you can make. Glad to see clever programming being able to put the "game" back in gaming.

But yeah, I second the person who said run it by the Lindens. At least that way, they'll all supposedly know there's something out there that's okay, and there's more chance of getting evenhanded application of the new rules.

ready for this? :) i reported myself about a week back and got a linden responce just stating to look at the FAQ update. nothing removed. i can understand they cant say (yes its allowed) because that would be sealing a deal. but i took it as a way of saying yes we will allow it.

the system has been up for basicly a week and a half. as well up for about 3 days up in a gameroom owned by Evil Pluto. and no problems what so ever. im very excited to be offering it. and ill be working on a script to allow people to adapt their old games too if they want

It does work great!!

I am Evil Pluto's partner and Co Owner of Ivar's Gaming in Port Victoria. We set up the system last week and working great. Many are still afraid to play fearing its still gambling. I don't see it as gambling..there isn't any gambling really to it unless you are counting the tickets you receive as gambling.

The hardest part I have found so far is getting people to wear the ticket counter and registering it. At least those that do not speak english and can not translate the "how to" signs. I am now having it translated in various languages.

Everyone that does try it out...Loves it and says Kain is a genious!!

Way to go Kain!!
