Fruity and nutty, that's how I would describe the flavor of Amaretto di Saronno. It's a wonderful combination. I find the taste to be a cross between maraschino cherries and almonds.
With a dark golden colour, the predominant taste here is Almonds and reminds me of Marzipan, although is rather warm upon drinking it.
This should definetely be on the table this christmas!
