The newest Western Horse from Cheval Verite is here! More of a "type" than a "breed", the American Warmblood horses are bred with an eye to producing a quality sport horse, rather than specific bloodlines. This fellow was sculpted with the intent of capturing the "spunk" one expects out of a warmblood!
The Western Saddle horses have all the realism you've come to expect with the Cheval Verite line, wrapped up in an exquisitely sculpted Western Saddle created by Ms. CoyoteAngel Dimsum. a few new features have been added, such as the dismount function (which rezzes a low prim standing version of the horse when you detach the horse, more "twitch" animations, a few more sounds, and two static display horses: a high prim (with tack) and low prim (only 16!).
*DUAL RIDER INCLUDED* This device allows you to take a friend for a ride on the back of your horse. They can sit either sidesaddle or astride as you wish. Walk, trot and gallop with that special someone : ) Unique control channel creation for your horse ensures that your dual rider will not interfere with other horses.
*TWO STATIC MODELS INCLUDED* Lower prim display model included, that has all the standing animations and sounds of the regular horse. An even lower prim version is included as well, which doesn't have all the tack of the other

Leg Animation Demonstration Here:
http://www.wegame.com/watch/Cheval_Verite_Gait_Demonstration/
More than just a pretty face, these horses act and move like their Real Life counterparts:
**Dynamic, multiple frame animations for walking, trotting, galloping, jumping and rearing, all based upon actual studies of horses in motion.
**Multistage jump animation: the horse rears up, extends in midair and even tucks his legs up just before landing!
**New Dismount function rezzes a static horse next to you when you detach it (or you can just detach it normally). The static horse disappears when you "mount up" again.
**Lifelike sculpted ears that twitch periodically, both forward and back.
**Eyes and eyelashes that smoothly blink together (not just flicker on and off)
**The horse shifts its foreleg while standing.
**Gallop Boost increases the speed of the gallop beyond the usual avatar run speed. This can be toggled off, if desired (for fair races with other brands of horses, for example)
**After a full gallop of five minutes, the horse gets tired, starts panting and slows to a trot until cooled down via walking. This feature can be toggled off.
** Pose mode allows you to select any of the above postures, perfect for taking that picture of you and your horse rearing mightily against the setting sun!
**Prance mode allows you to turn on the leg animations at will (i.e. independent of avatar movement: nice for showing off or doing dressage)
**Different sound effects each for gait, coupled with nickering, snorts and whinnies at varied intervals (the sound levels may be adjusted or turned off as you like)
**Flexible tail flows in the wind and swishes as you and your horse turn and ride about.
**At trot and gallop, the horse will kick up dust.
**Single prim sculpted leg construction ensures smooth animations, without the leg "falling apart" as multiprim legs sometimes do.
**The rider animation allows your avatar to turn its head and react as normal with nods, etc whilst chatting. When riding, your avatar will look where the horse is going.
**This is tremendously silly, but the horses can talk, if you wish.
**HippoUpdate server enabled, meaning that you will automatically receive any future updates to the Cheval Verite line for FREE.
Riding the horse is easy! Just use your arrow keys. To jump, press page up and see the horse spring onto its hind legs and leap. To rear up, press page down and your horse will nicker in excitement as it paws the air with its forelegs. (For the record, in SL we all ride as well as we dance. Our horses never throw anyone.)
Worn as an attachment, the horse's prims do not count against the parcel. You can mount and ride your horse in no build areas! You can even teleport with your horse.
The horse is copyable and modifiable (it will show as no-mod in inventory because the scripts are no mod). Full instructions are included. Make your horse larger or smaller, tint the mane, add a bow, or anything else you wish. Rider height is easily adjustable via the drop down menu.
A Cavalry HUD designed by Professor Alfonso Avalanche is available at the Carriage house (see SLURL below), allowing for lance, sword, pistol, rifle and pennant use on horseback. Weapons included, or you can use your own.
Despite the number of options available, the Cheval Verite horses are scripted with ease of use and minimal lag impact in mind. All functions are easily accessible via a drop down menu, and the help menu includes the owner manual and troubleshooting guide. While no scripted object (or anything else!) in SL will be immune to lag, testing of this script has proven it to be reliable under all but the laggiest conditions. Sim impact is roughly equivalent to a standard animation override, and under high lag conditions the animations are turned off and the timer reduced, restarting automatically when the lag diminished (this function can be turned off if desired).
Happy Trails!
