It's been a while, I know. But after a hiatus we're back with a new pack of sculpted chains that takes advantage of oblong sculpts for extremely high efficiency. You may recall that we've sold a pack of sculpted chains before this one. This new pack was designed from scratch, and is quantifiably better by at least two times in every way.
This isn't just a pack of sculpts. This is a complete professional system for content creators that is so versatile that it effectively functions as a new prim type. This is the absolute final cable chain set I am making; nearly every polygon is used effectively, and even using meshes wouldn't give a large improvement because sculpts excel at shapes like this with regular, repeating geometry.
Moreover, it comes with 15 different custom textures, ranging from hand drawn to baked refractive effects. To make it maximally versatile we've added in chain segment shapes that are circular curves in 360, 180, 90, 45, and 22.5 degrees, an exponential curve (links angled greater along its length), two types of straights (even and "twisted) and three kinds of irregular, messy segments.
Each curve type has variations that range from 2 to 8 links per sculpt, allowing further versatility in the range of possible curves. And of course every segment comes in three scaling variations, that push out its LOD resiliance (ability to maintain shape from afar) up to four times, and also allow each segment to be scaled down four times smaller than the minimum prim size, making them usable for any jewelry use.
11 chain segment types x 3 LOD resiliance levels x 7 link count variations equals 231 different sculpts. A lot of sculpts, but well organized so you don't get lost; the sculpt maps are named using a system that makes them naturally sort by size, shape, link count, and type. They are also organized as premade sculpted prims that are visually organized in the same manner, and named the same as their sculpt maps, so it's a no-brainer to pick-and-pull the sculpts you need and then find the matching sculpt maps.
Even the price has been improved. Our old set sold for L$5000, whereas this new set is L$4000. You can still buy the old set for L$2000 as well.
