WILDER COMBAT SYSTEM is a sensor-based, low-lag, combat system for second life similar to TCS. Most elements of the WCS kit are full perm and modable, with only those scripts unmod which are necessary to avoid griefing and cheating. In its current form, WCS affords 10 hit points like TSC and CCC, counting them down on each hit, until 0 is reached and you "die". What happens WHEN you die is up to you, as the particle scripts and link messages to cause events to happen in your vehicle are provided full mod.

All sensor combat systems in SL operate on a "channel". The channel is for each element (vehicles and now targets) is set the same, and you have a fully functioning system for your sim or combat. WCS defaults to TCS channel. Click on the vehicle before turning WCS on, and you get a channel menu with options for TCS, CCC, preset channels 1-9, and CHOOSE a channel. The presets are not actually channels 1-9, but randomly selected channels from the 100,000 channals available. In CHOOSE, you may choose custom channel from the same 100,000 channels, that only you and the members of your group know. No other system will work on that channel unless it is known and settable (as it is in WCS).

WCS provides a more up to date replacement for the old standard TCS, and yet still allows all those previous TCS AND CCC vehicles and guns to work with WCS. Because WCS is "object" based and not "avatar" based, it can use rockets and bombs. It can also use targets for practice and "capture the flag" games. The targets have owner settable notecards for things like channel, hit point numbers and time its dead until regenerate.

The low lag, versatility and modifiable aspects of WCS makes it the most promising combat system in Second Life. There is no rez lag of scripted physical objects in motion, off SL HTTP calls, or extra baggage that is not used in one application or another with WCS. There can be no permanant "hacking" of WCS with user selected channels, because no one can "hack" a simple choice, YOUR choice. If someone gets your channel, you pick another one, and every one changes. That simple. WCS is user moddable (except for the security of core, target and bomb scripts), and we have made EVERY possible effort to have the least control over how it is used, by whom, or where. It's truly YOUR system.
