Residential Rentals:
Are you sick of all these little postage stamp sims where they make a little square, bulldoze the land to call it a beach, drastic drop offs, ugly trees, and sometimes...gasp.. prim sand? And they charge top Linden dollars for this??!!!
Check out Margaritaville, Sweethill Meadow and GillCar Valley for something a little different. No hacked up plots. This is not a rental mill!
Each sim is custom terraformed by me to use land for privacy so you can cut down on the prims you need to get that. The plots are of generous size but not too huge. There are extra prims to rent as well if you feel you want some more.
The covenants are formulated to protect the look of the place but not to strangle you.
Rent is 2.2L/sq/month. Not one other fee or surprise.
Don't buy private sim land!! Why?? Here's what I think. Selling private land is the fast way for a sim owner to recoup the cost of the sim purchase. Sounds good? Sure why not! I used to sell my private sim land. Sounded good to me. But you really dont own it and there is no guarantee that even a well intentioned sim owner wouldn't sell it out from under you. Things happen after all. Also, don't forget that a sim has value. And when it is sold the sim owner gets (hopefully) close to what they paid for it. So they get that pay back TWICE! And maybe even more if you pay some of those crazy rates out there!
Here's what I do. I charge a modest rental. I give you all rights except terraforming (to protect the look that brought you to me in the first place) and resale. The land is in YOUR name. So it's just like "buying" it in a sense without the resale right.
Of course do what is best for you. Whether that is mainland rental or purchase, private rental or purchase! It's all to each his own!
