Right Hemisphere (www.righthemisphere.com) makes a program called Deep Paint 3D which looks like it could be excellent for designing things in SL. Unfortunately, although I've asked for a demo several times, they've never answered. I even tried phoning them and got no reply, even though it was during business hours. Does anyone have any idea if something has happened to them?

Deep Paint 3D is like photoshop for 3D models, you need to import the model to paint on it. Unless you can export your SL object as an OBJ, DXF. etc. you're not going find much use for it I'm afraid.

You'll just have to make your textures the old fashioned 2D way :)
