Here is a product I ran into while looking at the Sin Episodes website its called a Heliodisplay. You don't only see the video in mid-air but you can interact with it like a touch screen and can view it from a 150 degree viewing angle from the front. It can be hooked up to televisions and both Macs and PCs. The company is based in San Fransisco, so I'm sure LL has heard of it.

That's very cool. I wonder what that it is must be emitting as a projection medium, though.. Some kind of light steam or something? ...I wonder if it needs refills. >.>

The site says it's normal air which has been "temporarily altered" in some way. The projection's only visible from one side too. I can't think of anything that'd have that effect.
