Apple ("same as choice 3" should be "same as choice 2")

How do you feel about Apple?

"Same as choice 3" should be labeled as "Same as choice 2"--I originally had another choice between that was redundant.

- Should try to get a larger market by releasing affordable upgradeable machines

- Should allow people to buy individual components like motherboards, cases, etc.

Aren't these two basically the same thing?

(And I do think they should do this, like in the old days. I agree with a couple of things on this list, was hard to choose just one)

- should try making commercials that don't boil down to "PCs are bad."

I understand that the majority of your post is posted in humor, but it is making a point about being one positive and seven negatives.

This poll primarily has to do with whether people feel there should be change in Apple's business model or not. Either people feel that apple should change or they shouldn't--if people feel they should change, it's a question of how should they change.

I am no religious user of Windows, I use it because it's a less expensive alternative, and that is the ONLY reason. I have a lot more negative things to say about Microsoft than I do Apple, but I can at least afford a decent computer that runs a Microsoft operating system. If I could afford a mac tower, I'd buy one in a heartbeat, but as it is, I've never been able to afford to buy a whole computer at one time--it's always been piece by piece, which is the way that most people who are not wealthy buy computers (and if they're not tech-heads themselves, they get friends to build it for them). Apple does not allow for that option, and they're losing out a lot of customers because of it.

What could I have put there in the poll that could have been -positive- as you say? Let's see (sarcasm included):

1. Apple is great! They shouldn't change a thing about their business model.

2. Steve Jobs is cute, I want to have his baby.

3. There should be no other computer company than Apple. I think they should become a monopoly.

4. Apple should make more commercials that make Windows based PC's look useless.

5. Apple is the best company in the world. They should buy out the U.S. government.

6. I want to start a new church based on the scriptures of Steve Jobs.

7. Windows is a ripoff of the Macintosh

8. Microsoft should be sued for stealing patents

9. Apple should push to sell their computers in the produce/fruit department at grocery stores.

10. Apple is good, Apple is great, let us thank Him for this food.

So, it's a rhetorical poll then.

What's the point in responding to a humorous post with seriousness when you're only going to lose your way by comitting the straw-man fallacy?

I have a weird sense of humor, what can I say?
