http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/highlands_and_islands/5105946.stm?bbnewsSisters lose second coming cover Insurers have withdrawn the cover on their virginity taken out by three sisters in the event of the second coming of Christ. Essex-based Britishinsurance.com confirmed it had provided the £1m policy, but said it was reviewed on Thursday following complaints. The firm said the women from Inverness had renewed the policy since 2000. The cover was meant to pay for the cost of bringing up Christ if one of them has a virgin birth. Britishinsurance.com managing director Simon Burgess said it had not been the company's intention to offend anyone.

THe insurance company apparently believes that the second coming is an impending event. They must follow Bushpolitik.

Actually, that it was not impending, as they'd have to shell out big bucks if it were. But anyway, love this quote:
"The people were concerned about having sufficient funds if they immaculately conceived. It was for caring and bringing up the Christ. "
Not just any Christ. The Christ.

Smart insurance company. All they'd have to do is say "prove the child is the Christ" and then deny payment.

From: Merlyn Bailly Monotheists, in my opinion, are crazy and delusional by definition. So are you saying that Polytheism is more sane than Monotheism? If so, please explain how you come to that conclusion, I would be interested in hearing the logic behind that statement.

I don't think that being Monotheist means one is nuts.
I think that accepting the concept that something creating you, then condemning you to burn for eternity in a tempest of fire and brimstone, then suddenly changing its mind *kinda* and killing his own son that couldn't die in the first place and therefore did nothing and saying that if you don't act a certain way, you get the hellfire anyway *because he loves you*.....that's nuts.
I think suggesting that killing yourself puts you in a heavenly place with 53 virgins is nuts, but only because after day 54, all you really have is some spent bitches and clouds. Pretty lousy afterlife.
I think that not eating half the availible food on the planet because a scorched tree said it was bad is a tad off key.
I think the concept of Satan is just the culmination of bullshit excuses for people to be horny, assholish fucks. Just say you're horny, assholish fucks.
But I also respect that anyone can think that my concept of a male and female god that parent the entire universe via images that people are comfortable with and that we're all little of pieces of God is also nuts. Just a bit less nuts than the above, IMHO.

I think the Little Lord can handle his own needs.
In any event, they should go after the dead beat Dad.
