As much as I LOVE to hear bad news about Dubya and his questionable *win* of both elections, Channel 6 news is kinda like our "Eyewitless" news down here in Florida. Sounds like sweeps week stuff to me, although since I live in Floriduh, nothing surprises me anymore.

Believe me, nothing would make me happier than to have the 2004 election results in Florida declared null and void.

Given how we're more than half-way through the current presidential term, how would that actually change anything, save maybe a long, painful (for the country, not any particular political party) constitutional battle?

In case you haven't noticed, there's nothing in the US Constitution addressing the possibility of an election being overturned two years after the term in question has started. The issue would eventually wind up in the US Supreme Court, but probably not be resolved till well after the natural expiration of Bush's second term (after which point he becomes irrelevant, as the same constitution that doesn't address overturning an election 2 years later does address the number of terms a president can serve).

I wasn't saying I thought it would happen, just that it would make me happy. :D

Also, as someone who lives and votes in Floriduh, it would make me feel better to know that the next time I vote, my vote will be counted.
