(anything could have been in those crates at the start, right?) But.... I know it's a little old, some would call it 'stale'. But I can't find any damn mods for it or sites that are still active. Ideas? Maybe I should get a new game?

I wanted a game to chew through this weekend. I don't usually buy games, but I wanted something to shoot at. So I thought I'd try out this game I know is good, but never got to play. So I picked up FarCry (since HL2 is still $40 and I don't want to bother with Steam). It's fun game, although I did cheat and give myself a p90 at the start, since I can sneak up put a few rounds into a fool without making too much fuss

I played it back when my computer couldnt handle all it's graphics online.
It seems all the FarCry servers are in Germany (where the developer is), so I gave up. You could try: www.planetfarcry.com Still, with my system now, this game looks DAMN GOOD! Wait till you see their new one ![]() _____________________

I know. I LOVE the draw distance. It's all open, I almost never had a slowdown except in some of the internal maps.
The enemy AI is superb, but I really, really, REALLY wish I could control Val. Oh well, I skipped that mission. ![]() |

FarCry is what I run when I nearly get tempted to put down cash for a sim in SL. I just run FarCry, relax and walk around with no enemies (host a map with no bots, basically) and take it all in. Its really relaxing. Sure, I can't build there, but hey - the price is right.

People can walk or drive around, maybe spawn enemies at will, go hanggliding, blow eachother up, or have fun with physics. Also, a co-op mode with two or three people over voice would be cool as hell. The mercs wouldn't see a thing until it was too late. |
