Excuse me but where is the sport in killing a bull when you have 16 guys with you for backup and you have a big sword to boot?

I would like to see bullfighting reorganized slightly where a naked man with no weapons fights man to bull wirh no questions asked. I bet bull fighting would soon be a forgotten "sport".

In all fairness, an angry bull outclasses a human opponent sufficiently that some form of handicap would seem reasonable to me... maybe give the matador a rubber mallet?

That's funny... the 9 year old in the news right now for bull fighting only gets two armed men as back up... and they only jump around to distract the bull if he screws up. Oh, and the 9 year old doesn't get to kill the bull because he doesn't have the arm strength to do it in one thrust.

How do grown men get 16?

Technically, it's more sporting than just shooting the bull in it's pen with a shot gun, the bull can and has killed the matadores. We just shoot them in humane Canada and America...

It's not entertainment. It's disgusting.

Have you ever been around a pissed off bull? I have. Thankfully not within the same enclosure, however. I would want alot more than a sword. Particularly not the swords they use, which I would hardly call a "big sword".

At the end of the day, I'm not going to loose any sleep about it. It's more entertaining than bull-riding.
