For those of you that use Yahoo! Messenger, have you found that the service has been a bit.. whack as of late? Theres huge lag in msgs and constant screen blinking as you see it refresh..
Or is my comp on crack again?

Yahoo! messenger was playing me up a lot a little while ago, seems to have settled down now, although it does still cark its brains occasionally, usually when I try to clear the archives.
As for lag on messages, I only get that if the other person is sending a BIG message. Never noticed any screen blinking, didn't even know it refreshed itself LOL

Every since the last upgrade, voice has been messed up for me. Sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn't. I've ruled out mic/headphones as the prob because I've replaced those 3 times due to breaking them. I still continue to have connection problems with voice.

Yahoo Mssgr never worked with any degree of satisfaction for me. I stopped using it. Not that I ever did. I should say that I stopped trying to use it.

I don't seem to recieve messages sent to me when i'm offline, the same goes with a couple other contacts on my list.

lol Thanks for the replies.. Ive used yahoo for years and never had issues until recently, its been doing the weirdest things.. Maybe LL took over?? IM KIDDING.. shhh relax lol.. No seriously its been acting up and i get yelled at lots of messages that have never reached me.. Until then.. at least we have google.

A friend of mine had this problem too up until a few days ago that is, it was something to do with the firewall settings in the yahoo! messenger preferences/options thing, she couldn't do photoshare or send/receive files because of it either, don't know if yours is caused by the same problem, but it is worth checking out I suppose

Thanks, i'll look into that. Just strange that its started happening out of the blue. I haven't changed anything,nor installed any software recently.

I rarely log onto yahell messenger anymore and prefer MSN messenger. At least I don't get messages on MSN from people I don't even know. It is rather frustrating when someone is searching through the yahell members and just decide to start im'ing you and continually buzzing your chat when you don't know them and have no desire to chat with them. I don't miss it one bit |
