1. Traditionally PC gets more testing than the Mac version, but I dont think it's been as bad lately.
2. AMD FX-class processor, 2GB DDR3200 RAM, GeForce FX6800 Ultra or better, 5-6mbit internet connection.
3. Soon. Cory is preparing for the alpha test at the moment.

I have a AMD Athlon 3400, 512mb PC3200 DDR SDRAM 128MB DDR video memory my ghz runs as either 1.79 or 2.21 (can't tell because it will change win i check systems data somtimes) and i have Cable so i get 840 kilobits (which i am runing at this moment and) and 5.0 megbits. It tends to change through out the day since it is LAN. they really need something better than LANs and I have Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 (i don't know how to tell wether it is AGP or not)

I get similar Second Life playability on the following Mac and Windows configurations: One has dual CPUs and one has dual GPUs.

x86
CPU = A64 3500 (2.2 GHz)
RAM = 2 GB DDR 3200
GPU = SLI 6800 Ultra 256

Macintosh
CPU = dual G5 (2 GHz)
RAM = 2 GB DDR 2700
GPU = 6800 Ultra 256
