Schwarzenegger feels almost anti-California to me. Not in the sense that he's against the state but in the sense that he doesn't fit California. I recall how he was advertised to us as "fiscally conservative but socially liberal". It turns out he was conservative both ways. ~Ulrika~

California should definitely go back to the old ways. It would have been fun to see California go completely bankrupt.

~Ulrika~ she is the plague at my front door i was on a campaign against her 2nd term when sonny bonos mom joined the opposition against her but I guess her friendship with Newt, her marraige to such a schrewd orator and entertainer as Sonny, and her experience screwing country stars and being a manager at Bono's Resturaunt, she was more than entitled to the repeated elections btw, load up google earth and look at per capita income of Indian Wells

~Ulrika~ It is. The problem is that there is an enormous amount of pork going to adminstrators and unioneers. New Jersey has the same problem. The worst is that instead of standing up against these people and calling them what they are - thieves taking away from the quality of America's youth's education - it is these fattened pigs that call politicians "anti-school" if they dare suggest that schools ought to be able to cut the fat out of budgets.

I did a little research on her voting records and I'm not impressed. I'll definitely keep an eye on this person, getting the word out to those around me who might not be familiar with her. Rated 20% by NARAL, indicating a pro-life voting record. (Dec 2003) Rated 27% by the ACLU, indicating an anti-civil rights voting record. (Dec 2002) Rated 93% by the US COC, indicating a pro-business voting record. (Dec 2003) Rated 30% by CURE, indicating anti-rehabilitation crime votes. (Dec 2000) Rated 9% by the NEA, indicating anti-public education votes. (Dec 2003) Rated 10% by the LCV, indicating anti-environment votes. (Dec 2003) Rated 11% by APHA, indicating a anti-public health voting record. (Dec 2003) Rated 7% by the AFL-CIO, indicating an anti-labor voting record. (Dec 2003) Rated 11% by the ARA, indicating an anti-senior voting record. (Dec 2003) http://www.issues2000.org/CA/Mary_Bono.htm~Ulrika~

From: Hiro Pendragon It is. You are quite mistaken about California. New Jersey has the highest per-student spending in the country at $9,429 per student. California (the eighth-richest state) has the 46th highest per-student spending in the country at $3,889 per student. But don't let a perfectly good set of measures get in the way of promoting your conservative anti-education agenda. ~Ulrika~
